Romantic Rustic Farm Welcome Party to Kick Off a Vermont Wedding Weekend
This wedding weekend began with an unforgettable wedding welcome party set on a charming Vermont farm, blending rustic character with elevated, romantic details. Guests gathered around a weathered wooden barn surrounded by sweeping mountain views for an intimate celebration.
Carine and Ted welcomed guests to this pre-wedding event at a private barn, decorated with seasonal blooms in rich bright colors. We also loved the wedding welcome bags they gifted guests with locally sourced delectable treats.
The entire event was beautifully designed by Jaclyn Watson Events and documented with an eye for texture, light, and emotion. The soft glow of the lantern lit interiors, the vibrant florals, and the sweeping outdoor scenes made this Vermont setting so magical.

This private barn was adorned with lush greenery, soft candlelight, and oversized floral urns filled with wild, seasonal blooms. Under the warm glow of hanging lanterns and star-shaped pendants, friends and family mingled inside the barn while others enjoyed cocktails outsides beneath a clear top tent draped with twinkle lights.
Guests were gifted a wedding welcome bag filled with autumn inspired items. The tote bag vessel was personalized with a beautiful hand drawn motif and the couple’s initials. Inside the bag were locally sourced items with a hint of fall throughout, including a sparking apple cider, maple popcorn from Vermont, maple syrup in a leaf shaped container, and apple cider donuts. The couple included a personalized thank you card inside each welcome bag to express their gratitude for everyone joining in their celebration.
The couple explored some garden paths for portraits among tall wildflowers, capturing the beauty of Vermont in the background. The photographer captured these more intimate photos of the bride and groom solo, together, and the bride with her sister. The image of Carine and her sister laughing in the moment is our favorite, what a beautiful moment captured in a photo!
The families enjoyed some time with the photographer to capture beautiful family photos. For these, the families setup in front of the decorated barn venue. This is a great idea to capture extra family images while you have everyone dressed up and a beautiful venue that’s already decorated!
The couple also gathered their bridal party for a bridesmaids photo with the bride and a groomsmen photo with the groom. It was an event with formal attire so this was a great opportunity for photos of everyone while they were dressed up!
As the sunset, the farm transformed into a magical evening setting, with the barn and tent illuminated against the night sky. This was the perfect stunning and cozy start to the wedding weekend for Carine and Ted.
