Andie and James planned an epic wedding rehearsal dinner and party the night before their sweet brunch wedding the next day. We love this unique twist on the traditional intimate rehearsal dinner preceding a large wedding celebration the following day. Andie and James dreamed of a Sunday morning wedding ceremony and brunch for their wedding day, but also wanted an evening of dancing and celebrating with all of their wedding guests. They put a twist on the traditional “rehearsal” night by including all of their wedding guests and throwing a casual, laidback wedding welcome party with vintage inspired details.
Traditional rehearsal dinners are usually for a smaller group of just family and wedding parties, but these days we are seeing more and more couples plan a “welcome party” for all of their guests to begin the weekend of celebrating. If you are planning on having a morning or brunch wedding, we love the idea of planning a wedding welcome reception the night before so you get the best of both worlds and have all the memories of dancing with your family and friends while also having a morning wedding ceremony.
We can’t get enough of the unique, vintage-inspired attire the bride and groom chose for their wedding rehearsal party. Long tables were scattered about the courtyard, under bistro lights, to allow guests to mingle while sipping on margaritas and cold beer with personalized drink koozies.
